The founder

The Founder and Lead Consultant at GHCs Inc. is Mr Batombo Bongoy. He is a Graduate in Hospitality Management from the University of Brighton, UK (Masters of Arts) and a Graduate in Food Service Operations from the INFA (Institut Supérieur de Formation Hôtelière et de Restauration) (Professional Diploma in France). He has 35 years of experience in the Hospitality and Food Service Industry in Europe, Africa and the United States.  

 Africa:

Hotels: Hilton and Intercontinental Hotel (Kenya), Intercontinental Hotel (Congo), Robertsfield International Airport Hotel (Liberia)

He began working in the hotel-industry in Nairobi, Kenya, at the Hilton and Intercontinental Hotel as Management Trainee. Upon earning his diploma, he was recruited as Auditor Supervisor to the Financial Controller at the Intercontinental Hotel in Kinshasa, and subsequently as Executive Food and Beverage Manager at Robertsfield International Airport Hotel in Liberia, West Africa. 

Europe:

Hotels: Hohenzollern Hotel (Germany), Mõevempick Feldschosly (Swiss), Campanile Hotel (France), Arundel Choice Hotels (United Kingdom), International Hotels (United Kingdom)

He furthered his undergraduate training in Germany at the Hohenzollern Hotel then worked in residence as a Restaurant Operations Trainee at the Mõevempick Feldschosly, a Swiss food-service chain in Zurich. He worked in France as Operations Manager at Campanile Hotel in Meaux and as Night and Duty Manager at a Campanile Hotel in Essome. A couple of years later he worked in the United Kingdom as Resident Manager at Arundel Choice Hotels then as Operations Manager and Deputy General Manager at Choice International Hotels in Redditch. 

USA:

Academia: Miami Dade College’s School of International Business Management and Tourism.

In 2010 he transitioned into academia teaching hospitality management, hotel operations, and tourism courses at Miami Dade College’s School of International Business Management and Tourism. In 2016, he earned a PhD in Education Leadership from Keiser University where he still serve as Adviser on the Graduate and Doctoral Students Advisory Board.
